This food waste disposer provides efficient and immediate removal of food waste whenever it arises. A disposer improves hygiene in the working environment, eliminating foul odors and bacteria formation and minimizing manual handling.
An ATF model installation is simplified as no welding is required when mounting on-site in the kitchen. The unit is installed in the sink’s drain outlet using a screw joint reinforcement. It is designed for continuously feeding food waste, effectively handling large amounts of food waste without unnecessary interruptions in daily duties.
Standard delivery includes a complete contactor with motor protector, flushing nozzle for installation in sink wall, and complete solenoid valve with line strainer. Food waste disposers within the 500A Excellent Series feature grinders of specially alloyed steel, housings, and mounting assemblies of stainless steel EN 1.4301 (AISI304) and a protection class of IP55 – all assuring long life expectancy and operational reliability.

In accordance with the IMO document ‘2017 Guidelines for the implementation of MARPOL Annex V’, the discharge from the disposer should be directed into an appropriately constructed holding tank when the ship is operating within an area where discharge is prohibited. In addition, in order to avoid non-compliance with MARPOL, ground food waste from a disposer shall not be discharged into a vessel’s sewage treatment plant as it will contribute to increased levels of BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and the sewage treatment plant might fail to treat the sewage in accordance with IMO requirements.
