Conversion Project

Harmony of the Seas

The extensive conversion project on Harmony of the Seas, originally delivered in France in 2016, was successfully completed by LMG Finland in Cádiz, Spain, in May 2026.

Iconic Mega-Ship Delivering World-Class Experiences at Sea

Harmony of the Seas is one of the world's largest and most advanced cruise ships, originally delivered in 2016. Designed to carry around 5,500 guests at double occupancy, it offers multiple distinct neighborhoods, diverse dining venues, and modern entertainment spaces, creating a dynamic and high-quality guest experience at sea.

End‑to‑End Conversion Project Delivered with Precision and Scale

The approximately six-week project covered the full scope of design, manufacturing, demolition, and installation, focusing on upgrading a wide range of restaurant and bar venues across the vessel. While onboard installation works were carried out in spring 2026, the project timeline began much earlier, with design work initiated in April 2025 and production executed at LMG Finland during the summer of 2025.

Coordinated Logistics Power Complex Refit

At peak, more than 50 professionals were engaged across sites. Their expertise and dedication ensured that the project was delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality. The onboard phase commenced with the careful demolition of existing spaces, followed by the installation and finishing of completely refurbished, modern guest-facing venues aligned with client requirements.

The scale of the project was also reflected in its logistics. A total of ten truckloads of prefabricated elements, bar counter modules, and installation materials were delivered to Cádiz, supported by four containers of consumables and tools. This coordinated logistics effort enabled efficient execution within a demanding timeframe.

Refurbished Venues

In total, ten restaurant and bar concepts were upgraded as part of the conversion:

  • Snowcone

  • Solarium Bistro

  • Crown Lounge

  • El Loco Fresh

  • Giovanni's Kitchen

  • Playmakers

  • Starbucks

  • Pesky Parrot

  • Casino Bar

  • Chef's Table

Equipment Delivery and Contribution

As part of the project scope, Loipart ensured that all equipment was delivered on time and fully prepared for installation. A wide selection of foodservice and galley equipment was supplied, including ice production and dispensing systems, professional coffee solutions, induction cooking equipment, and high-performance ovens. The delivery also featured specialized appliances such as rotisserie grills, pizza ovens, salamanders, dishwashing systems, and water-cooling units—supporting efficient and modern kitchen operations across multiple venues.

Strong Collaboration Behind the Success

The successful execution of the Harmony of the Seas conversion reflects close collaboration between design, production, logistics, and installation teams, supported by experienced project management throughout all phases.

As a result of this joint effort, the vessel now features modernized dining and bar facilities that enhance the overall guest experience and support future operational needs.
